Are you still swooning over Radiant Orchid like we are? These purple blooms, from our delightful summer wedding at Veritas, are a beautiful (and early) interpretation of what is sure to be an en vogue color palette next year!Happy Wednesday brides!
Did you know Shindig bride Claire is blogging her wedding planning process over on the Charlottesville Area Wedding Blog? We are so thrilled to be part of her wedding team and even more honored to contribute to such a lovely local blog! The CAWB is such an important resource for Virginia brides~~ we're so happy Claire is part of it! Head over and check out her latest post (detailing our meeting with Southern Blooms) and more of her planning adventure here!
Head over to one of our favorite blogs for a special treat today! Hooray for Shelby & Douglas~~ and congratulations to Lucy O for the lovely Snippet & Ink feature! Happy Monday!
... is Radient Orchid! We adore this sweet pastel~~ in fact, we channeled it in this tablescape we styled at Belle Haven's Wonder workshop! Orchid is a feminine way to incorporate a rich, often bold hue; use it in subtle details, like your florals, your mismatched china, the ink of your calligraphy, or your hair and jewelry accessories. Or, of course, you can make Orchid center stage by making it your main wedding color~~ just remind your groom that a soft purple emphasizes the color of his eyes and makes him appear handsome and dashing! What do you think of the 2014 Pantone Color of the Year? Will you find a way to embrace it in your wedding?images by Jen Fariello!
Happy Wednesday! What's on your planning plate this week? We're in love with this bouquet by Southern Blooms for Shelby + Douglas' Castle Hill wedding. It's a dainty mix of feminine colors and textures (we adore mixing berries with buds!) and is a lovely compliment to Shelby's overall style: simple, elegant, and graceful. Swoon! image by Lucy O Photo
